KingsNew.ink · A Manifesto

The King's New Internet

Every member holds ground of their own on it: a Kingdom with walls you raise, gates you set, and works that carry your name wherever they travel. This is its charter.

I

A Kingdom, not a profile

A profile is a room in someone else's house. The owner sets the rules, holds the keys, and can close the door on you whenever they choose.

A Kingdom is ground you hold. You raise the walls. You place the gates. You decide who comes in and how far they go. And a Kingdom is bigger than the one who stands in it: it has people to serve, a household to keep, and a purpose to carry.

II

The Courtyard is open to all

Your SovereSpace is the Courtyard. Anyone may walk in, see your work, read what you wrote, and hear what you have to say. It is the public face of your Kingdom, and you decide what it shows.

III

The Castle answers to your keys

Past the Courtyard stands the Castle: the members' rooms, the private library, the work in progress, the things you keep for family and friends. Its doors are Iron Rod Sovereign Key access points that you set up yourself.

Add checkpoints. Dig a moat if you want one. Every door opens for the people you choose and stays shut to everyone else.

The plan of a Kingdom

IV

Your works travel, and stay yours

The sites, stores and products you make can be placed anywhere in the network: on a friend's page, inside a club, in a marketplace across the country. Wherever they appear, they remain owned by you, the King or Queen of your own Kingdom.

V

RogueGeeks build it on the SovereStack

The SovereStack is the full kit for building on this internet: sites, stores, clubs, events, albums, bookable spaces, sign-in, and the AI that helps you put them together.

RogueGeeks are the builders who use it. A RogueGeek might be you at your kitchen table with your own AI, or a Geek down the road you hire to stand up a Stronghold for your family or your town.

“Expand the site of your tent; extend the canopies of your dwellings. Do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes.”

Isaiah 54:2 · Isaiah Institute Translation

VI

Your SovereNode holds it

A SovereNode is the software on your own machine. It tells the network what your node can do.

Every plugin you bolt on, every app and site you build on it, and every upgrade to the machine makes your node more capable, so it can carry more of your Kingdom and serve more of the network. A node also runs warm, and in a home or on a farm that heat can do useful work too.

VII

As sovereign as you can afford

Sovereignty rented from any single host, even us, is a promise no one company can keep. So the King's New Internet is crowd-sourced: everyone holds as much ground as they can afford, so that no single switch can turn it off. There are three doors in:

→Support & Grow. Rent your ground from the network, and your rent helps hold up the people around you.
→Register a Node. Already own a capable machine? List it, and we'll tell you where it fits and what work it can earn.
→Kingdom Node. A Stronghold server built, delivered and stood up for you by a local RogueGeek.

VIII

Why ink

Ink is what a scribe writes with. A record set down in ink is meant to last, and witnesses can read it long after it was made. Every Kingdom on this network keeps a record like that, held by the one who keeps the Kingdom.

Read the domain as a phrase and it names the whole idea: the King's New Internet.
